On Nov. 2, Serbia’s State Electoral Commission began accepting ticket entries for the Dec. 17 snap parliamentary elections, said Commission president Vladimir Dimitrijevic, and added that the final deadline for submissions is Nov. 26.

“Tickets may be entered by political parties, political party coalitions or citizens’ organizations whose submission includes 10,000 legally valid, notarized voter statements. The exception to this are ethnic minority parties, which are required to submit a minimum of 5,000 notarized voter statements,” Dimitrijevic told the RTS public service early on Nov. 2.

The official further stated that collecting signed statements of support began on Nov. 1 and that the position of candidates on the ballot will not be determined by draw, as is the case for presidential elections, but rather according to the order in which tickets are publicly announced by the Commission. He also said that the number of voting stations has yet to be determined.
